Installing SmartAlbums on multiple computers
Your SmartAlbums subscription is a cross-platform license, meaning you can use it on both Mac and Windows computers. Each subscription includes two activations that work on either platform.
How it works:
Two activations per subscription
- You can activate SmartAlbums on up to two computers at the same time
- Activations work on any combination of Mac and Windows
- Examples:
- Two Macs
- Two Windows PCs
- One Mac and one Windows PC
Flexible platform use
- Use the same Pixellu account credentials on both computers
- Switch between platforms as needed
- Your subscription isn't locked to a specific platform
Common use cases:
Home and office setup Use SmartAlbums on your office Mac and home Windows PC with one subscription.
Primary and backup computer Keep SmartAlbums activated on both your main computer and a backup device.
Switching platforms Moving from Mac to Windows (or vice versa)? Your subscription moves with you.
Studio with mixed computers Use SmartAlbums on whatever computer is available in your studio.

Where albums are saved:

Frequently asked questions:
Can I use both activations on the same platform (two Macs or two Windows PCs)? Yes! You can use both activations on the same platform if you prefer.
Do I need to purchase separate subscriptions for Mac and Windows? No. One subscription covers both platforms.
Will my subscription work if I switch from Mac to Windows permanently? Yes. Simply log out on your Mac and log in on your Windows PC.
Can I use SmartAlbums offline on both computers? Yes, but you'll need an internet connection for the initial activation on each computer.
What if I'm already using both activations and want to add a third computer? You'll need to deactivate one of your current computers first to free up an activation slot.
